Founder Fundamentals is an 11-week workshop series brought to you by LaunchYU and Markham Small Business Centre (MSBC) designed to help you kickstart your entrepreneurial career.

Interested in building your entrepreneurial skills to launch your startup?

Whether you are a professional services company, brick and mortar or technology startup, the program aims to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to succeed. Spanning across topics such as Business Plan Writing, Bootstrapping, and Setting up a Shopify Store, this program provides a wide range of learning. The program also connects you with local resources for potential next steps as you progress in your entrepreneurial ventures.

Participants who attend at least 9 out of the 11 workshops will get a Certificate of Achievement, illustrating their dedication to learning about the essentials of launching a successful business.

About this Workshop:

Developing a strong customer persona and utilizing that to drive your buyer journey is important. Often times, the experience of the journey is just as important as the end product or service being offered. Get a better picture of your customers and how prospects interact with your brand through the different parts of the funnel: awareness, consideration, decision, advocacy.

This workshop aims to cover the following topics:

  • Why do Buyer Personas matter?
  • How do we create and validate them?
  • What do Buyer Personas look like?
  • How you use them?

 

Speaker: Mark Evans, Principal, Marketing Spark

Mark Evans is the principal with Marketing Spark, a fractional who helps B2B and SaaS companies drive more engagement, better prospects, and higher sales

Mark’s areas of expertise include brand positioning and messaging, strategic planning, and managing tactical execution. He works on a part-time, project, and advisor/coach basis.
